At the end of the Lawsuit, Lesurques, Couriol, Bernard and Richard are recognized guilty, the three first are condemned to the Capital punishment. It is at this time that Couriol will declare that Lesurques is completely foreign with the Affaire (what it will reaffirm on the scaffold). Lesurques will be guillotine all the same.
One will find later the other persons in charge of the attack, Lesurques was victim of a Miscarriage of justice.
A street bears the name of Joseph Lesurques in the commune of Green-Saint-Denis. The business would have been conceived in a Parisian bar-restaurant (which always exists) with one of the angles of the street of Verneuil and the Rue of the Vat.
