Busigny
Busigny is a common French, located in the department of the Northern (59) and the area Nord-Pas-de-Calais.
Geography
The city is frontier Département of Aisne (area Picardy).Busigny is to 12 km of Caudry, 6 km of Bohain-in-Vermandois, 10 km of the Cateau-Cambrésis, to 27 km of Saint-Quentin, to 29 km of Cambrai, 108 km of Lille and finally with 192 km of Paris. Very wide, the city manages a hamlet: The Hedge-Menneresse.
Busigny is an important node of the rail traffic of the north of France. Indeed, the station of the city (near to Maretz) is the place where the axes Paris converge - Maubeuge and Paris-Cambric. Also, the station is a place of correspondence between trains important Corail and FOR THE THIRD TIME. It is easy to go there from Paris or Lille (less 2:00, approximately 1:30 on line).
History
As much communes of North, Busigny had many textile spinning mills. Since the years 1970, these spinning mills disappeared. Some companies of the building remain in Busigny in spite of a difficult economic context. Busigny underwent the demographic decline dependant on the economic decline like Maretz (close commune) and all the Cambrésis.
