Burschenschaft
Burschenschaft was a company secrête created for the first time on June 12th 1815 at the university of Iéna in the Grand Duchy of Saxony-Weimar (whose sovereign, friend of Goethe, made a small island of liberalism) included/understood in the Germanic confederation of the Napoleonean time post, and who condemns the parcelling out of the Germany resulting from the congress of Vienna and maintains a nationalist and anticatholic frame of mind. Bouvement Burschenschaft was devoted to the German unification and especially to the rights of freedom, for example freedom of the press.
Today
In our days, approximately 160 associations coeds which are called Burschenschaft in the Federal Republic of Germany and the Republic of Austria are still alive. Their colors are black, red and gold. The majority of them belong á the Deutsche Burschenschaft .
