Burger Ranch

Burger Ranch (in Hebrew: בורגראנץ ) is one of the three plus large chains of fast-food industry in Israel, with McDonald's and Burger King.

Profile of the company

In 2006, Burger Ranch has 69 restaurants and employs more than 1500 employees, directly or in its restaurants franknesses, to compare with the 80 restaurants of McDonald's in Israel.

Created by the South-African ones, Burger ranch opened its first two restaurants with Tel Aviv (street Ben-Yehouda and street Ibn Gevirol) in 1972 and 1978 then quickly continued its growth and remained the leader of the Israeli market (beside the small chain MacDavid which does not have any more in 2005 but 4 restaurants) until the arrival of McDonald's in 1993. The chain Burger King, which initially tried to be essential by crossing all Burger Ranch then by opening 60 restaurants, finally failed on the Israeli market. The shareholding of Burger Ranch évolé much until 2001 with complete acquisition by the group Paz.

Cacheroute

All the ingredients used in the Hamburger S of Burger Ranch are Casher S but only some of the restaurants of the chain are certified cashers, in particular because of the question of the opening of the restaurants the day of the Shabbat.

The policy of the chain is not to sell a sandwich mixing dairy products and flesh-colored, neither of the meats not cachères, nor of the seafood.

Two restaurants Burger Ranch are strictly certified Glatt Kosher in 2006, one with Bnei Brak and the other with Jerusalem.

During Pessa' H, certain restaurants of the chain proposes special breads to follow the food laws of the festival.
