Burdur (province)

The province of Burdur is one of the 81 Province S (in Turkish: it , in the singular, and island in the plural) of the Turkey.

Its Turkish prefecture (: valiliği ) is in the éponyme city Burdur.

Geography

Its surface is of 7.238 km ².

Population

With the census of 2000, the province was populated of 256.800 inhabitants, that is to say a Population density of 35,48 hab. /km ².

The province is divided into 11 Turkish districts (: ilçe , in the singular): Burdur, Ağlasun, Altınyayla, Bucak, Çavdır, Çeltikçi, Gölhisar, Karamanlı, Kemer, Tefenni and Yeşilova.
