The town of Burbank is in the part is Vallée of San Fernando, part of the metropolitan zone of Los Angeles and in the Comté of Los Angeles, just in the north of the city.

Presentation

It is called the " World capital of the médias" because of many companies have their head office with Burbank, of which NBC, Disney and Warner Brothers. The city is near Hollywood. One commonly believes that the city was called thus of the name of a famous horticulturist, Luther Burbank, but it is in fact a dentist and contractor of the New Hampshire, David Burbank, who gave him his name.

History

During the Second world war, the company Lockheed builds more than 10.000 hunters P-38 Lightning in its factory of Burbank, which employs 94.000 people in 1943, working in three-shift working.

Burbank accommodates today the many employees of the movie studios and television located in and around Burbank.

Economy

It is of course based on the entertainment. Although Hollywood is regarded as a symbol in connection with this industry, most of the productions takes place with Burbank, where are the directions of the companies:
