Bunun (language)
The language bunun (布農語) is spoken by the people Bunun originating in Taiwan. It is a group of dialects connected with the sub-group of the Langues formosanes.
It is divided into five dialects:
- *Isbukun, the dialect dominating, mainly spoken in the south about the island.
- *Takbunuaz, spoken in the center about the island
- *Takivatan, spoken in the center about the island
- *Takibaka, spoken in north
- *Takituduh, spoken in north
- *Takbunuaz, spoken in the center about the island
This language belongs to the family of the Langues austronésiennes which gathers more than 1200 languages and spoken in a surface going about Taiwan to the New Zealand and of Hawaii and the Easter Island until Madagascar.
