Bunsei era

The era Bunsei (in Japanese: ja 文政) is one of the eras of Japan (ja 年号, nengō , literally “the name of the year”) according to the era Bunka and preceding the era Tenpō extending from the 1818 to the 1830. The reigning emperor was Ninkō - tennō (ja 仁孝天皇).

The Bunsei era was proclaimed at the time of the fifteenth year of Bunka (1818).
