History

Feudality

Quoted towards 1070, under the name of Apud Bolarclum , this locality would find the origin of its foundation in the concession which was made, by Renaud Burgundian the, in its chapter of Craon, a chapter which it itself had constituted. With this date, it gave, said it, close to its villa of Bundles, " the ground necessary to take in its forest to make a borough " there;. A half century later, the borough existed with its church and the ordinary privileges. It was built on the ground conceded by the Seigneur of Craon, a ground which was cleared in immense the Forêt of Craon by the Chanoine S of Saint Nicolas's Day. The cure of Bundles was thus with the presentation of the canons of Saint Nicolas's Day. Its holder was held to assist " in Cover " with the two employers' festivals of the chapter. But, in 1684, the priest wanted to adapt all said them, including two thirds which belonged to the canons. A conflict burst. It was regulated following an award pronounced by the seneshal of Craon and the prior of Livré and the priest were condemned has to restore " to them; five hundred thirty-seven unduly raised sheaves ".

A family of the name of Bundles is known in XIIe century Among her members, quote Geoffroy who crossed towards 1145. Its Jean grandson, irritated the canons of Saint Nicolas's Day, about their rights on the borough and the church. Brought back to the reason, by Maurice II of Craon, Jean made, finally, peace with these monks, after 1170. At the XVIIe century, the Chancre S always claimed to have received However has parochial seigniory of Bundles of Renaud the Burgundian one, at that time, one believed to discover that the title of foundation was attached to the ground of the Mound, property of Geoffroy Touchard, in 1403, and of Jean Buat, in 1439. This " Mound and Féage " - was to pass in other hands, until in 1610, laaquelle date Jean of Buat bought it with Paul of Saugère. In 1663, its grandson, Charles, was pressed on this title of sale, for évincer the Chanoine S of Craon. He was condemned, by a first sentence, to remove his weapons of the church, but he preserved his title a title which its descendants took, in the instruments.

It is true that, for their defense, the canons had, in their favor, the testimony of the intendant, Miromesnil, whom qualified them lords of Bundles but, in 1696, Mister d' Armaillé became Baron de Craon. Wishing in its turn being founder of the parish, it bought the Mound, with Mister of Buat, towards 1750. At that time, Mister de Farcy - which lived the Château of Roseray - had acquired, of its royal majesty, the rights honrific in the church (1703). It had undertaken work of decorations there and obtained, of 1738 with 1748, the right of burial, bench, armorial bearings, either parishioners, or of the priest. In a note, the priest of Bundles gives an account of this situation of more muddled: " - Mister de Craon bought the Mound of Mister of Subrardière; this Mound gives the seigniory in imagination. Everyone wants to be lord of this parish. Several made me mean their opposition to give the nominal prayers. I left them with respect to them to arrange itself on their alleged rights. Happiest of all, is Mister de Farcy of Roseray. Like Co-lord, it in the 1st place; it lets truths lords dispute; in a word, it swallows oyster and leaves with the others the scales. Mister de Craon made us sorrow well… He does not like the church ".
