Bulldozer

A bulldozer or bulldozer (official recommendation) is a Tracteur with caterpillar S or Pneu S equipped with at least a directional blade and which is used to push materials or with the demolition.

Description

The bulldozer is a shovel Niveleuse assembled on a track-laying tractor. The tool for earthwork is a shaped blade carried by two hinged jibs that a hydraulic mechanism makes it possible to lower or to raise. If the blade is in low position, the machine makes an earthwork by scraping with a depth of cutting from 20 to 30 cm. In certain machines, the blade is tilting by swivelling around horizontal articulations. This movement is ordered by hydraulic arms push rods.

History

Machine

It was used starting from the Années 1930 and arrived in Europe following the Second world war to rebuild the devastated dwellings.

English word

In the Years 1880: with the the United States, a “bulldozer-amount”, or amount for a Bull , was broad and effective amount of drug or punitive measurements.
1886 : the word “bulldozer” indicated a Pistolet broad gauge and the person who carried it.
Fine of the 19th century: “bulldozing” wanted to say the fact of using the extreme force in order to push back any obstacle.
Later: the word applies to the vehicle.
