Buire-Courcelles is a common French, located in the department of the Somme and the area Picardy.
Geography
History
- Buire : Celtic etymology, means slope towards the valley which is that of the river Cologne which throws in the Sum . Buire was called successively, Buracum then Buiciera .
- Courcelles means, according to its Celtic origin, a dwelling (or groups houses) smaller and less old than the preceding one. This hamlet constituted a transitory commune with the Revolution, then was attached to Buire before 1794.
