Building sites of Penhoët

The Chantiers of Penhoët are an old shipyard of Saint-Nazaire.

This shipyard existed at the beginning of the 20th century on the site of current the Chantiers of the Atlantic.

The Normandy in particular was born in this shipyard.

A cargo liner, the Mount Viso , was launched the November 20th 1911 for the SGTM.

The Joffre was started in this building site in 1938, but it was never finished (Second world war).
