Bufoténine
The bufoténine is a Alcaloïde indolic. It is a derivative N-dimethyl of the Sérotonine (5-hydroxytryptamine) (5-OH-DMT). It is found " on the skin of clamping plates and frogs, in mushrooms, plant species and in the mammals, particularly in the brain, the blood plasma and the Schizophrenic urine of the s".
It was insulated in 1902 by two French physiologists, Césaire Phisalix and Gabriel Bertrand. They isolated it from parotid gland of a clamping plate, the Bufo alvarius . The bufoténine and the Psilocine are very similar, since the single difference between these two molecules is the place of the hydroxyl group around the ring indol. It has it also properties Hallucinogène S and knows in particular a ic use Chaman. It is an antagonist of the Sérotonine
