Buffalo Bill

William Frederic Cody , known as Buffalo Bill , (February 26th 1846 with North Punt, Scott County, Iowa - January 10th 1917 with Denver, Colorado) is a mythical figure of the Conquête of the West. After an adventurous life, begun at 14 years, where it takes part in the Indian Guerres as a scout and in the development of the Pony Express, it enters the legend thanks to the writer Ned Buntline who told his adventures. Its name in Indian language (Sioux) was “ Pahaska ”.

Its nickname comes owing to the fact that it provided out of meat Bison ( buffalo in English) the employees of the Railroads Kansas Pacific and that it gained a duel against Bill Comstock by killing 69 Bison S against 48 in one day. For the anecdote, much of these killed bisons were not consumed. They were just cut down for the prestige of the hunters.
