Liquid culture medium for the culture of anaerobic bacteria .

Composition

- peptone trypticase Soya: ...................... 10,0g/L - peptone: ........................................ 5,0g/L - extract of Yeast: ............................ 5,0g/L - Cystein Hydrochlorate: ..................... 0,4g/L - Hemin: ....................................... 0,01g/L - Glucose: ...................................... 5,0g/L - Plug SORTING: .................................. 0,75g/L
pH: 7,6

Protocol of sowing:

it medium is regenerated before employment (20à30 minutes with 100°C) - Two to three drop of a dense bacterial suspension are deposited with the pipette at the bottom of the tube, while avoiding introducing air. - If the medium is conditioned out of broad tube, it is necessary to cover it with paraffin stérilepréalablement molten; - Incubation in anaérobiose is carried out during 24:00 at 37) C.

Use

The addition of selective agents allows the culturede delicate or demanding bacteria. For example, the addition of 2g of powder placenta and 2mg of néomycine per liter of medium allows the selective culture of Bactéroïdes and Clostridium . Cystein inhibits the growth of Escherichia coli .
