Bryan Habana

Bryan Gary Habana , born the June 12th 1983 with Benoni, is a player of Rugby southern African, who plays with the team of South Africa. It evolves/moves at the station of winger (1,79  m for 90  kg).

He plays initially half of fray. The trainer of the Golden Lions moves it at the station of center, but it is at the station of winger that this young mongrel asserts itself and shines.

He takes his first international steps with the Rugby to seven by taking part in the IRB World Sevens Series 2003 - 2004. He also knows selections at less than 21 years in 2004. And it shines so much that with less than 21 years, it begins at the Springboks against the team from England in November 2004. It registers a test for its first match, two for the following. Bryan Habana, which finishes the tournament better realizer of the bulldozers with eight tests.

For the first match of the World cup of Rugby to XV 2007, it registers four tests. At the time of the fourth and last match of hen, it registers two new tests. The October 14th 2007, at the time of the semi-final opposing the South Africa to the Argentinian , it registers two tests, thus equalizing the record of tests registered in only one World cup (eight), record held by Jonah Lomu.

October 20th 2007, Bryan Habana played 35 matches for the Springboks and it already registered 30 tests. With a ratio of 0,85 test by match, it is the best best performance of a Springbok , right in front of large the Danie Gerber which made a success of 0,79 test by match in the years 1980-1992.

It gains the World cup of Rugby 2007 in France, with the Springboks. They are essential vis-a-vis the England on the Stade de France: 15-06.

He was crowned better world player of the year 2007 by International Board Rugby (IRB), the shortly after the victory of the Springboks finally of the Mondial.

At the time of this World cup, the n° 11 of Springboks equalized the record of tests registered during World, held since 1999 by the New Zealander Jonah Lomu with eight achievements.
