However on paper these are always two companies which operate the flights, because the personnel and the planes are distributed on the two AOC of DAT and Brussels Airlines Fly, the provisional name of the old entity Virgin express train.

One of the future challenges for Brussels Airlines is to increase its long-distance network (it will have a fourth A330 Airbus with this intention in 2007). The other challenges will be to gradually renew its fleet in a few years. In effects, the majority of the planes have more than ten years.

To the autumn 2007, the fuselage of the apparatus will be adapted to the standard of comfort in long-distance flight of Brussels Airlines (seat-beds in business class, systems of entertainment on board, installations of restoration…). The `Sierra Fox Whiskey' will then entirely be integrated into the long-distance offer of flights of Brussels Airlines. This integration will be the later on more detailed communication object.
At the time of this increase in its fleet, Brussels Airlines will proceed in the months to come to recruitment and the formation from some 70 additional members of personnel (personal in cabin, pilots).

Anecdote
The logo of the company, a " b" constituted of red points on blue bottom, was redrawn quickly to integrate 14 points instead of 13, under the pressure of supersticieux Western users. It would seem however that the 14 are also an unfavourable number in certain cultures extreme-Asian. The company however indicated that it would not henceforth change any more the number of points of its logo.
