Brusquet
Brusquet is a common French, located in the department of the Alp-of-High-Provence and the area Provence-Alp-Coast of Azure.
Its inhabitants is called Brusquetiers.
Geography
The village is especially known for its hill: Lauzière. It is on this hill that the old village was of which there remains tower (XII° century), the vault Notre-Dame de Lauzière and the ramparts. The commune is surrounded by other reliefs as the Fall of Carries, the Adhesive, Liman, Blayeul. The commune is well distributed between plain, hills, mountains of average altitude. The principal river is Bléone, which draws its source in Estrop, in the solid mass of the Three Evêchés, and joined the Durance. The commune is then traversed by many brooks of which Millesaule, Riou, Bès. The forest field is divided between pieces O.N.F, afforestation, and pieces belonging to the commune.

The village contains many historic sites. There are for example the Tower of the XII° century and the vault Notre-Dame de Lauzière (which contains a splendid fabric of Frederique Maillard), but also the Church of the village, with typical furniture. There is also the chimney of the old tilery, with the district of the Plan.
Personalities related to the commune
The history of Brusquet is marked, for the twenty last years, by personalities like Marcel Roux (mayor during nearly thirty years), Rene Cossalter (craftsman carpenter who founded, with its Gilles brother, the only factory of the village), and well of others. The village must much with these people who gave their time to his development.
