Bruno Brel
Bruno Brel is a Belgian singer born in 1951. He is the nephew of Jacques Brel.
Having taken its first steps of singer in a cabaret of Brussels as of 1967, it " monte" to Paris in 1977, and thanks to Jacques Canetti, which had launched the glorious career of his/her uncle, and leaves its first disc, an album 33 turns, then a second 33 turns in 1979. Follow rounds to France, Belgium, Germany and Africa, CD of recoveries and innovations, in particular in 1998, CD Enfin here are . Hitherto, Bruno had never recorded songs of Jacques. It is in 1998 that it includes some in its recital which it produces in France and abroad (Bucharest, Saint-Pétersbourg) and in 2001 leaves CD entitled Moitié Bruno, half Brel , comprising 7 titles of Jacques and 7 titles of Bruno. CD (available on the official site) recorded in public at the time of a round in Quebec in 2003, entitled Bruno Brel ux birds of passage contains 17 titles of the uncle and the nephew while the Canetti productions leave in 2004 CD the heritage . In November 2006, new CD celebrates " 20 years of scène" with the talented accordionist Martial Dancourt: 11 signed titles Bruno Brel for the texts, and Bruno Brel and Martial Dancourt for arrangements.
Bruno Brel is also impassioned of Moto-cross and, under the colors of Suzuki, was champion of Canada in 125 cm in 1976.La frequentation of the circuits led it to write the biography of a champion, Roger de Coster. Then this in love with the words and the adventure combined its passions while publishing new and Romance, parallel to its song recitals.
Bruno has certainly intonations which make think of Jacques, " intonations familiales" , but a voice rounder than it uses as a true actor. It should have been seen in scene to note the energy which it deploys in the manner of making live the characters that he incarnates truly, making again pass the public of the tears to the laughter then to the tears. As for its own songs, they reveal a control of the writing and a direction of the melody which result in thinking that the talent is sometimes hereditary.
