Bruno Amoussou

Bruno Amoussou (born the July 2nd 1939, Djakotomey), is a Engineer in Agronomie and Politician Bénin ois. He is the leader of the social democrat Parti (PSD) and was president of the National Assembly of 1994 with 1999 and Minister of state, of the Plan of the prospect and the development of 1999 with 2005.

Amoussou disputed the three presidential elections since the Démocratie was reintroduced in 1990. In 1990, it received 5,8% of the voices and the 4th place, thus failing to qualify itself for the second turn. In 1996, it was also classified 4th with 7,8% of the voices.

At the first turn of the elections of 2001, it was still placed 4th with 8,6% of the voices but took part in the second turn when the classified candidates 2 (Nicéphore Soglo) and 3rd (Adrien Houngbédji) withdrew themselves from the race. Against the President-in-Office Kérékou archi-favorite, Amoussou received approximately 16% of the voices.
