Bruce Krebs

Bruce Krebs , is Sculpteur and realizer French.

After having received its diploma for the occupation of architect he only exerted this trade during two small years, solar architecture not being really with the mode in the Eighties.

Simultaneously with its activity of architect, he becomes editor of cartoons. He publishes three collections between 1979 and 1981.

He discovers the cinema of animation thanks to the Super8 workshop of the MMJ of the La Rochelle, and with association " collodion humide". Very quickly it then creates its own movie studio of animation " the films Bruce Krebs" with the La Rochelle.

It carries out forty films. For each one it chooses a graphics adapted to the subject. For him, each scenario, each environment must define the graphic character of a film. This step will lead it to use very varied techniques of animation. Thus it approaches film of charcoal under camera, the pastel, cut out paper, the loam under camera, the plasteline, film of puppets, experimental film, the cartoon (of course) and film of synthesis 3D…

Dimensioned Sculpture, Bruce Krebs priviligie bronze. Its works cover contemporary subjects; the modern couple, unbreathable air, children vis-a-vis the oil slick… The lost man, the woman, the complaint, the joy, its sculptures try to express by the movement the emotions of the bodies. It exposed its bronzes during many exposures these last years.

Bruce Krebs teaches the realization with the school of the trades of the cinema of animation (EMCA) of Angouleme.
