Bruce Furniss , born the May 27th 1957, is old a American swimmer . At the time of the World 1975, Furniss appears while becoming vice-champion of the world on 200 m and 400 m freestyle. It had before improved the world records of the 200 m freestyle to Long Beach. 19 years old, it obtains the Olympic sacring with Montreal in 1976 on the test of the 200 m freestyle by beating the world records of the speciality. Two days later, it obtains one second gold medal with the American relay 4x200 m freestyle (world records with the key). In 1978, he becomes world champion on the test of the relay 4x200 m freestyle.

In 1987, it is honoured as a member with the International Swimming Hall off Famed.

His/her brother, Steve Furniss, were also a swimmer bronze medal with the Olympic Games of Munich in 1972. Bruce Furniss is graduate the University of California of the South.
