On the commune of Broye is installed the sending antennas of the Radar LOW REGISTERS designed by ONERA, exploited by the Air force, intended to track the satellites and other objects circulating until an altitude of 1000 km. This monitoring system, equivalent to the installations of the NORAD (USA-Canada) allows mainly the location of the satellites - spies.
