Brown pelobatid
The brown pelobatid ( Pelobatids fuscus ) is small a Crapaud of the family of the Pélobatidés.
It is a squat clamping plate from 6 to 8 cm length of gray color brown with darker marblings. This Amphibien has night manners and shelters in burrows (up to one meter of depth).
One meets it in the plains on the sandy and muddy ground (zones with heathers in the vicinity of the ponds). The eggs are deposited by the females in long gelatinous cords around the watery plants. The Têtard S of the pelobatids are among largest and can measure up to 18 cm length.
This species belongs to the list of protected spaces in accordance with the articles L411 1 and 2 of the code of the French environment. Thus, the destruction or the removal of eggs or the nests, the destruction, the mutilation, the capture and the naturalization of the specimens are prohibited.
