Brothers Missionaries of the Campaigns

The Frères Missionaries of the Campaigns form a founded congregation religious in 1943 with the Houssaye-in-Brie (Seine-et-Marne) by the P. Epagneul (1904 in Anjou - 1997), Dominicain, for the evangelization of the rural world, by an apostolate in all its forms (preachings of missions, chaplaincies of movements of catholic action, schools, paid work…)

The Brothers can be priests or laic; they make wish of poverty, chastity and obedience; they live in community of at least three brothers.

In 1941, Ghislaine Paddle, national president Jaciste, becomes acquainted with the P. Epagneul and shares the same concern as him. It becomes nun in 1946. In 1947, 5 young girls unite with it to found the Sœurs of the Campaigns.

Into France, the Frères Missionaries of the Campaigns are divided in 14 priories, and the Sœurs of the Campaigns in 13 others.

The F.M.C are present in Africa (Burkina-Faso, Bénin, Togo) (4 priories) since 1969, with the Portugal since 1972 left in 1999, with the Brésil (2 priories) since 1989.

S.C. have three priories in Africa (Burkina-Faso, Bénin, Togo).
