Brother to Brother
Brother to Brother is a film written and carried out by Rodney J. Evans, which was presented for the first time at the time of the Festival of film of Sundance in 2004.
Synopsis
A student in Art binds friendship with a homeless person, Richard Bruce Nugent, which was an important actor of the Renaissance of Harlem. By reminding its friendships with other important figures of Harlem, like Langston Hughes, Douglas Aaron, Wallace Thurman and Zora Hurston, it recalls the difficulties which it encountered as a young writer Gay in the Années 1920. Perry discovers thus that the challenges of the Homophobie and of the Racisme with which he is still confronted with the beginning of the XXIe century are close to those which Bruce has even known him.
