Brother Antoine

Frère Antoine is one of most famous the Master-brewers Trappists of Belgium.

He integrates the Abbaye of Rochefort as a monk in 1952 and starts to work with the Brasserie in 1956. In 1976, it succeeds Frère Paul as a Master-brewer and officiates until in 1997. In 1997, Frère Pierre takes his changing and brother Antoine (Dutch-speaking) withdraws himself with the Abbaye of Achel where it occupies the load of gatekeeper.

However, it takes again soon service with the brewery of Achel when Frère Thomas (celebrates brewer of the Abbaye of Westmalle), in load of the development of beers of Achel, is constrained to stop its brewery occupations for health reasons.

Frère Antoine is the creator of Triple of Achel (8 %). Other beers of Achel having being created by Thomas brother.
