Broncos de Swift Current

The Broncos de Swift Current are a frankness from Hockey junior-major of the Canada, localized with Swift Current in the Saskatchewan and evolving/moving within the Western Hockey League .

History

The beginning team in 1967 and at the end of 7 seasons, Broncos move with Lethbridge to become the Broncos de Lethbridge; however, the club returned to Swift Current in 1986.

The December 30th 1986, the bus of Broncos undergoes a serious accident on the road bringing the team to Regina for a match against the Pats. Four players were killed; their numbers were withdrawn by the team thereafter. The remainder of the team finished nevertheless the season.

The team was also the center of a controversy when Sheldon Kennedy showed the former trainer-chief of Broncos Graham James sexually to have misused him during its stay with the team.
