Bron
Bron is a common French, bordering on Lyon, in the department of the the Rhone and the area the Rhone-Alps.
The inhabitants of Bron are called Brondillants.
Geography
Located in the Suburbs south-eastern of Lyon, Bron constitutes one of the industrial centers - metallurgy and glassmaking in particular - Lyons metropolis. The city shelters a Université and the private Aéroport of Lyon-Bron, wedged today in urban fabric; built with ten kilometers only of Lyon, this one serves, with the Aéroport Lyon-Saint-Exupéry (4th national rank) arranged more in the east, the second Agglomération of France.On the communal territory is located the Parc of Parilly.
History
Chronology:
- 61 Av J.C - Period Gallo-Roman E. Roman vestiges would have been discovered in the cemetery of Bron.
- 470 Ap J.C - Is Lyons is occupied by of Burgondes then the Francs of the Royaume of Burgundy.
- 1030 - the County of the Viennese to which belonged Bron becomes the origin of the future Dauphiné with the dissolution of transitory the Royaume of Provence.
- 1248 - Josselme de Bron is Seigneur of Saint-Symphorien of Ozon and Bron
- 1260 - Ysnard de Bron becomes Seigneur of Bron. It was previously Chanoine with Lyon since 1255.
- 1276 - First mention of a Parish in Bron.
- 1413 - Jean de Bron pays homage to the Dolphin Louis Ier with the strong house.
- 1429 - 1432 - War between the Savoy and the Dauphine one.
- 1457 - the province of Dauphine is joined together with the crown of Bron.
- 1594 - Catherine de Laube, widow of Jean de Buirin makes donation with her nephew Gaspard de Laube of the grounds of Bron.
- 1711 - on October 11th with the return of the festival of St-Denis a scuffle occurs on the bridge of Guillotière which will make more than thousand wounded (or dead).
- 1750 - Role of capitalization: 26 plowmen, 12 farmers, 12 days laborer, 5 servants, 1 prosecutor, 1 consul, 1 Shoeing marshal, 1 tailor of clothes, 1 innkeeper, 1 middle-class man
- 1790 - First municipality. The commune is attached to the department of Isere, Canton of Meyzieu.
- 1793 - First known census of the population: 441 inhabitants.
- 1807 - Passage of Napoleon; coming from Milan, it goes to Paris.
- 1812 - Establishment of the first Land register. Bron represents 983 hectares including 797 out of arable lands, 117 out of wood and coppice, 34 in Vigne S, 10 in meadows.
- 1817 - Creation of a pastoral guardroom.
- 1835 - Creation of a post of teacher and a secretary of town hall.
- 1851 - the commune of Bron is attached to the department of the Rhone, canton of Villeurbanne
- 1866 - Enumeration of the population: 214 farmers, 32 various industries, 19 tradesmen, 41 shareholders
- 1872 - 1876 Construction of the Extremely of Bron
- 1877 - Creation of the hospital of Vinatier.
- 1881 - Creation of the line of Tram to vapor n°24 connecting Bron to Lyon.
- 1888 - Beginning of the food of drinking water Bron under pressure.
- 1900 - 1410 inhabitants and 1600 patients at the hospital of Vinatier.
- 1902 - Creation of a post office. Appearance of the first electric tram.
- 1910 - Creation of the school of civil aviation on the airfield of Bron.
- 1920 - the population reaches 3300 people. Beginning of the first wave of urbanization which will increase in 10 years the number of inhabitants of 8926 with 1037 new constructions.
- 1944 - Bombardment of the ground of Aviation, 45 buildings whose church are also touched.
- 1954 - 1959 - Construction of the CPU (Units of construction).
- 1980 - Construction of the School of the department of health of the armies of Lyon-Bron on the site of the Extremely of Bron
