History

• August 2000 - Broadcom repurchases Silicon Spice within the framework of a transaction estimated at more than 1 billion dollar financed by exchange actions. Silicon Spice is a company not - dimensioned which develops technologies for the semiconductors. It is the 12th acquisition of Broadcom in one year.

• August 2000 - Broadcom repurchases NewPort Communications within the framework of a transaction estimated at nearly 1,24 billion dollar financed by exchange actions. NewPort Communications is a specialized company in the components for optic equipment. NewPort has like customers of the suppliers of optical equipment of networks like Cisco Systems and Lucent.

• September 2000 - Broadcom is continued by Intel which reproaches him for having tried to put to the hand on its technology in incentive its employees to reveal trade secrets. The procedure will be regulated by amicable agreement in 2003.

• November 2001 - Broadcom repurchases the Israeli company Herzliya.

• January 2001 - Broadcom repurchases the Israeli company VisionTech.
