Hackers Broad At (or HAL2001 ) is the name of a conference Hacker which was taken place with Enschede, with the Netherlands.

The name HALL is inspired at the origin of the film 2001, the odyssey of the space, in which HALL is the name of the computer of the vessel, equipped with Artificial intelligence. Broad Hackers At is a rétronyme of HALL.
