The British Armed forces , commonly named in English: British Armed Forces or Her Majesty' S Armed Forces and sometimes, legally Armed Forces off the Crown , includes the marine, the Army and the air force. With an official manpower of 236.190 people in 2006 (195 900 in the regular troops and 40.290 reservists), the British armed forces constitute one of the armies of Europe overseas having the most capacity of intervention. Their Commander-in-chief is the British Monarque, the Queen Elisabeth II, they are placed under the control of the Conseil of defense of the Ministère of defense.
