Querétaro or Querétaro Arteaga (official name) is a State Mexico. The city of the same name, named officially Santiago de Querétaro is its capital.

The State de Querétaro is surrounded by the States of: San Luis Potosí in north, Guanajuato in the west, Hidalgo in the east, State of Mexico City in south-east and Michoacán in south-west. It is divided into 18 communes:
