British Royal family

The British royal family gathers the dependant people of close with the British monarch. There is no strict definition of which is or of which is not family member royal, and various lists of members can be established. However, it is generally considered that belong to the royal family the people carrying the title of Its Majesty ( His/Her Majesty ) or of Its Royal Highness ( His/Her Royal Highness ).

Usual members

The royal list of the family members is usually the following one:

the sovereign (the king or the queen)
the consort (the husband of the king or the queen)
the former consorts (widowers of the preceding sovereigns)
wire of the sovereign, their wives and their children
girls of the sovereign
before 1917: back-small-children of the sovereign (children of wire of wire of the sovereign)
