British Council
The British Council is an government institution of the the United Kingdom. Its current president is Neil Kinnock. Its goal is to establish cultural relations between the United Kingdom and other countries; this the purpose of it is, in particular, for mission of promoting the training of the English language, of taking part in its diffusion and of strengthening its position in the world. The seat of the organization is with London, with affiliations in 110 countries.
65% of the expenses of British Council are financed by the teaching of English, the remainder being paid by the Foreign and the Commonwealth Office of the United Kingdom. In 2005 this remainder was of 186 million delivers S.
