British Admiralty Air Department
The British Admiralty Air Department is the aeronautical department of the British Admiralty.
It is created before the First World War by Winston Churchill, First Lord of Admiralty of the time, in order to supervise the development and the activities of Royal the Naval Air Service ( air Service of the royal Navy , RNAS, integrated since into the Royal Air Force). It in the beginning was directed by the Capitaine Murray Sueter. Some aircraft were studied within this organization in 1915/1916, whose prototypes were built by specialized manufacturers:
- AD Flying Boat (Supermarine)
- AD Navyplane (Supermarine)
- AD Scout (Blackburn)
- AD Seaplane Type 1000 (J Samuel White)
