Brissac

Brissac is a common French, located in the department of the Herault and the area Languedoc-Roussillon. Its inhabitants is called Brissagols.

Brissac is located in the valley of Avèze ( flumine acquae of Aveza in 1271), a small affluent of the Herault.

The castle of Brissac (Bermonde turns) date of the beginning of the 11th century. It belongs to the lords of Ganges for half, and to the Maison of Roquefeuil for the other.

It is rebuilt almost entirely in first half of the 16th century.

The Romance church of the 13th century (classified) is dedicated to saint Nazaire and Celste.
