The Brisgau (in German: Breisgau or " Country of Breis") is old a county of Germany, located today in the Land of Bade-Wurtemberg.

Brisgau formed with the Moyen-âge a county, that the dukes of Zaehringen controlled as from the 11th century. In 1218, a part passed to the margraves of Bade, and the other with the counts of Kybourg. The whole was joined together, at the 14th century, between the hands of the archdukes of Austria. Starting from the Peace of Presbourg in 1805, Brisgau belonged to the Grand-duché of Bade.

Nowadays, a district of Bade-Wurtemberg names Brisgau-High-Forest-Black.
