Briovérien
The Briovérien is one time geological of the Néoprotérozoïque, specific to the geology of the Armorican Massif, which extends from -670 my with -540 my. It draws its name from the town of Saint-Lo, Latin Briovera in . This time recuts the Édiacarien and the Cryogénien, and is immediately followed by the Cambrien.
This period corresponds to the Orogénèse Cadomienne, and one divides the period into lower Briovérien (670 - 590 my) and into higher Briovérien (590 - 540 my). The first period corresponds coarsely to a phase of magmatism, the second with a phase Sédimentaire. ----
