Brioche Jean
Pierre Datelin , known as Jean Brioche , born in 1567 and died in 1671, is a famous showman of Marionnette S.
Initially puller of teeth, Brioché opened in Paris, towards 1650, with the fairs the St. Lawrence and Saint-Germain, the first puppet theaters.
The cheerfulness and the liveliness of its speeches contributed to return its name and this also popular kind of spectacle.
It went later in Suisse, where it was imprisoned and failed to be judged like wizard, because the mechanism of his small actors was not included/understood.
With its retirement, its small theater was taken again by his/her son Fanchon, who had there, following Brossette, even more success than his/her father.
