Bright Star Catalogs
The Bright Star Catalogs (Catalog of brilliant stars) off, also called Yale Catalog Bright Stars or Yale Bright Star Catalogs , is a Catalog of stars which lists all stars of lower magnitude or equalizes 6,5, which corresponds approximately to all stars visible with the naked eye. Its 5th edition is currently available on line on several sites. Although the abbreviation of the catalog is BS or YBS , the quotations of stars listed in the catalog use HR before the sequence number, according to the name of its predecessor, the Harvard Revised Photometry Catalog created in 1908 by the observatory of Harvard.
