It is besides Salah Shahade, which developed the Qassam missiles, already several times sent on the Israeli territory.
The May 15th 2002, the brigades Izz Al-Din Al-Qassam had made a success of a attack-suicide against a coffee with 50 meters of the private residence of the Prime Minister Ariel Sharon. This attack highly symbolic system wanted to mean that the Hamas was able to strike Israel hard, in the vicinity even residences as of its leaders, and that “the Palestinians, which does not have anything to lose, are able to make horror, daily bread of the Israelis”.
The June 13rd 2003, the brigades Izz Al-Din Al-Qassam invited the foreign nationals to leave Israel because the country could not ensure their safety. These foreigners could thus, if they remained, undergo the consequences of them. According to the brigades, the suicide attack of Jerusalem is only the first of a series, and its combatants have to prepare operations in Israel everywhere. For the leaders of Hamas, such Osama Hamadan with Lebanon, Ariel Sharon “became the target n°1 of the organization”.
