In 1993, it is named chief of the police force of Raccoon City. It is made bribe very quickly by Umbrella in exchange of what, it does not pay any attention to the disappearance of inhabitants of the city, not more than at the zones devoted to the experiments of Umbrella as to the various atrocities which occur in Raccoon City.
During the month of July 1998, the journalist Ben Bertolucci discovers his implication and its share of responsibility at Umbrella.
From July in the end of September, whereas the citizens of Raccoon City are made contaminate gradually, Irons following an excess of madness decides " to finish the travail" while trying to kill the most police officers possible.
the September 29th, he is the only unscathed survivor of the police station of Raccoon and tries to put sticks in the wheels of Claire Redfield and of Leon S. Kennedy, he finishes killed by William Birkin transformed.
