Brian Tobin

honourable the Brian Vincent Tobin (born the October 21st 1954 in Stephenville, Ground-New-and-Labrador) is a Canadian politician .

Tobin was initially elected in 1980 under the banner of the Liberal party of Canada. With the come to power of Jean Chrétien like Prime Minister in 1993, Tobin was useful as minister of fishings and oceans.

In 1996, Tobin left its station to be made elect chief of the Liberal party of Ground-New-and-Labrador, according to the resignation of Clyde Wells. It became Prime Minister of Ground-New-and-Labrador the same year.

In 2000, Tobin again left its station to return in federal policy. Jean Chrétien appointed it Minister of Industry, a station which it preserved until his resignation surprised in 2002.

In 2006, Brian Tobin becomes senior partner with the Institut Fraser.
