Brian Sutter

Brian Sutter (born the October 7th 1956 with Viking in Alberta) is a former player of professional Hockey and trainer of the National league of hockey. It is oldest of the famous Sutter family, of which 6 of the 7 brothers played in the LNH (Brent, Darryl, Duane, Rich and Ron the brother Jumeau of Rich).
Career in club
It was fished out by the Blues of Saint-Louis to the RepĂȘchage amateur of the LNH 1976 to the 2nd turn, 20th on the whole. He played for the Blues until the day when he took his retirement as player, in 1988. During its career of player, it took part in three Matches of the Stars (1982, 1983 and 1985). Its number, the 11, is withdrawn at the Blues.
Statistical
Career of trainer
After its retirement, he became trainer of the Blues (1988 with 1992). He gained the Trophée Jack Adams in 1991 given to the best trainer of the league. He involved thereafter the Bruins of Boston, the Flames of Calgary and the Blackhawks of Chicago (of 2001 with 2005). Hawks engaged Dale Heel as director-manager the June 21st 2005 and the direction of the club did not renew its contract.
