Brian Froud

Brian Froud born in 1947 with Winchester, is an illustrator of British “fairyhood” . He works and lives in the Devon. The landscapes of its paintings are frequently inspired by Dartmoor, in England.

He worked with Jim Henson on the films The Dark Crystal and Labyrinth , for which he drew the creatures. Their decorations were also inspired by its works.

He collaborated with Terry Jones (Scénariste of the film Labyrinth ), on The Goblins off the Labyrinth and later on a certain number of books without bond with Labyrinth but concerning the fairies and the imps. The published last was Lady Cottington' S Pressed Fairy Book in 1994.

One of its most famous art books is simply entitled “Faeries”, is created in collaboration with Alan Lee and is translated into French under the title “the Fairies”.

Brian Froud recently created a play of tarot entitled “The Faerie' S Oracle”.
