Breton trégorrois
One cannot speak about " Breton trégorrois" single and spoken by all the trégorrois without exception. There is no there dialect. However, certain phonological, morphological or lexical tendencies are noticed more particularly in Trégor, with more or less strong intensity according to the zones.
The trégorrois
The trégorrois is distinguished from the other varieties of the Breton language by some differences:
- It uses mainly possessive the hon where the others employ hol in front of “L”, hon in front of “N, D, T, H” as well as the vowels and hor in front of all the remainder (these forms are however included/understood because they are known via the songs, the canticles),…
- after possessive the hon , the trégorrois makes usually the change spirante (e.g., where the vannetais employs /hon you, cornouaillais it and the léonard hon Ti , the trégorrois known as hon zi ). Besides this hon decides rather like om (p) .
- H is very aspired (e.g. in had, heiz )
- contrary to léonard, Z intervocalic or final is generally not pronounced, as cornouaillais some and vannetais some (it acts of the written letter " z" exit of old a " d" : Z of noz , izel , kaoz … of the peurunvan decide.)
- the lenition of D in Z is not generally done whereas it is the rule in other dialects (for example: rear paotr has dañs )
- the Glyphe W is generally marked /w/ (eg: war decides /war/)
- them - where (plural…) generally decide /o/
- the nasalized finales coming from the old “FF” from means-Breton are very well preserved: brasañ, rin ket (delivery: riñ ket)…
- the S initial is marked /z/: sant /z ãnt/, F initial by a very weak /f/ (but well disagreement of /v/): forc' h.
- - ao-, - ae- is generally reduced in /o/ and/ê/.
Lastly, the terminations of the future are different. The future in Breton means was - homp , - het , - hont . The trégorrois evolved of H to F (forms in - fomp , - fet , - make ,…). (To compare with the forms - ahomp, - ahet, - ahont of vannetais, due to the appearance of one - has connection (/e/ delivery).)
