Breton (horse)

The Breton is a draft horse originating in Brittany. Two branches can be distinguished:

  • the Breton Feature, made more powerful by contributions of heavier races (Of the Ardennes and Percheron). It was intended for agriculture and heavy traction.
  • the Breton Post-office employee, created by crossings between Breton Features and English Norfolk. Lighter, with a very active trot and a wearing of head raised, it was a plow horse par excellence in particular for the needs for the post office and artillery.

The Breton, rustic feature and of small size, was used in the mines to draw the tip trucks from ore. it measures approximately 1,58 m
