Bret Sergeant Hart (born the July 2nd 1957) is old a professional all-in wrestler Canadian, it belongs to the big family of wrestling, the Hart (compound mainly of his/her father Stu and his/her brother of Owen). During its career, it was also known under the name of Bret " Hitman" Binder (or shortened with the " Hitman " ) that it borrows from the Boxeur Thomas Hearns. It will use also the nickname of " The Excellence off Execution " (The excellence of the execution), whose currency is " The best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will Be " (The best than it is, the best there than there was and the best than there will be never). Bret Hart justifies this currency by three reasons:

• it forever wounded an adversary by its fault,
• during its career with the World Wrestling Federation, it could not take part in only 2 spectacles, both for problems involved in transport,
• he very seldom refused only a " job" (term used in the world of the Wrestling to designate a fighter who will lose a match for reasons various (departure, new history, development of another fighter)
Its catch of favorite completion, is a taken tender, the Sharpshooter . It also uses the Jumping Piledriver (the hammer rammer).

Career

Bret Hart is the eighth child of Stu Hart. His/her seven brothers have either were all-in wrestlers, or were implied in the industry of wrestling. As for his/her four sisters, they all are married with professional all-in wrestlers. Two of his/her brothers-in-law Davey Servant boy Smith (more known under the name of the British Bulldog , and Jim Neidhart , had brilliant career in the world of wrestling. His/her young brother, Owen Hart was an all-in wrestler famous and titrated before his death in 1999.

Bret Hart is recognized on the boxing ring for its technical control and its agility. Vince McMahon, the president of WWE, known as also of him " the greatest storyteller in the history off the business " (he is the largest storyteller of the history of professional wrestling), it was easy to produce intense matches and entertainments with Bret Hart .

Bret Hart returned very early in the world of professional wrestling. When he was child, he saw his father involving himself with future large stars, like " Superstar" Billy Graham , in the house of the Binder family, called the " Dongeon". The basement of the house became one of the rooms of drive most recognized in the world. Sometimes, before going to school, his/her father, who was also promoter of match of wrestling, made him distribute flyers for local combat. During its studies in Ernest Manning High School, it belonged to the team of Lutte. In spite of its physique of the time ( Bret known as of him which it was a bag of bone) it gained several major championships, which will give him a more important credibility in its career of all-in wrestler. However, rather than to follow the traces of his/her father, Bret continued studies at the university of Royal Mount College.

Stampede Wrestling (1976-1984)

At the 19 years age, Bret Hart started to work for the promotion of his/her father the Stampede Wrestling with Calgary, where his/her father was used for to him to manage during a time. Bret helped initially by arbitrating matches, but it was helped by the destiny at the time of a match. An all-in wrestler was in the incapacity to take part in it, which forced his/her father Stu has to require of his/her son to replace it. He thus gave to Bret its first combat with Saskatoon in the province of the Saskatchewan. Consequently he became a regular combatant, making sometimes team with his brother Keith Hart to gain the championship by team with four recoveries. However it was still not on wanting to make career in the world of wrestling.

Bret Hart garnered much experiment thanks to combatants Japan are born Mr. Hito (Katsui Adachi) and Mr. Sakurada (Kazuo Sakurada), the gratifiants later like the most important trainers in his career. Bret diverted crowd with its intense combat, in particular against The Dynamite Kid . Bret Hart filled the matches perfectly that one entrusted to him, fascinating confidence in its performances and proving its skill. Like he says it itself: " No one could take has shit kicking like Bret Hart" (" nobody can take dirty blows like Bret Hart"). Although he feared to make interviews and of speaking in front of a crowd, Bret Hart gained the major titles of promotions:

• 2 " British the Commonwealth Mid-Heavyweight Championship" (Championship weight-means of the the British Commonwealth ),
• 5 " Interantional Tag TEAM Championship" (Intercontinental Championship by team)
• 6 " North American Heavyweight Championship" (North-American Championship weight-heavy ).

Bret Hart also fought against the famous Tiger Mask with the NJPW ( New Japan Pro Wrestling ). There remained one of the best all-in wrestlers of promotion Stanpede until the repurchase of this one by WWF in 1984.

Then Bret Hart declares that it forever wounded an adversary, Alen Coage (known under the name of Bad News Brown ) indicated in an interview that Bret had inflicted two commotions to him, being shown a little too conscientious with a chair at the time of a match.

World Wrestling Federation (1984-1997)

1984-1992

Bret Hart started with WWF under a character of Cowboy but quickly required to give up it. It made possibly team with Jim Neidhart . The famous one of Binder grew in the middle of the years 1980, by gaining the " World Tag TEAM Championship" (Championship by team) of the WWF twice, including once as a member of The Binder Foundation . Its agility, its style technical created a strong contrast with the force and with dimensions brawler of its partner Jim Neidhart. In the beginning the team was heel (in other words malicious) and managed by " The Mouth off the South" Jimmy Binder (which one could translate by " the large mouth of Sud"). They carried blue and black behaviors then, on the other hand with the topic which they will choose later in pink and black. Possibly, they incarnated also face (of nice), adopting the pseudos then " The Pink and The Black Attack". Their feuds (or history) most famous was it against the British Bulldogs and the Demolition .

According to their defeat against The Nasty Servant boys with WrestleMania VII, " The Foundation" Binder; separated, and Bret Hart continued its career in solo. It gained the first from its two " Intercontinental WWF Championship" (Intercontinental Championship) by demolishing Mr. Perfect with his famous Sharpshooter with the Summerslam 1991. Consequently, Bret Binder have a competition with The Mountie (Jacques Rougeau). This history then began when the manager of Mountie, Jimmy Hart, threw water on Bret Hart, Mountie struck Hart with a bludgeon. When Bret Hart lost its title in favor of Mountie, it was supposed to have the fever; however, it was a pretext to protect its character at the time of the loss from the title. Actually, Hart was to lose this title because of the expiry of its contract. After this defeat, Roddy Piper (which was a distance cousin of Bret) demolished Mountie with a Sleeperhold (taken sleep) with the Royal Rumble 1992, and Bret regained its title against " The Rowdy One" with WrestleMania VIII later this year.

In July 1992, Bret Hart beat Shawn Michaels in what was to be the first Ladder Match (match of the scale) in WWF. Whereas much remembers Shawn Michaels like principal instigator of this kind combat due to success that it have later in this type of match, however, it is well Bret Hart which gained the first this " Lader Match".

After having yielded the " Intercontinental Championship" with his/her brother-in-law Davey Servant boy Smith' , in a traditional match with the SummerSlam 1992 in front of more than 80.000 fans to the Stage of Wembley, Bret Hart was high with the row of superstar. It gained the " WWF Championship" against Ric Sense of smell in the town of Saskatoon, province of the Saskatchewan (the town of his/her father, Stu Binder, and the first place or Bret Hart catché), during the same year in a show not televised. Bret Hart dislocated a finger of its right hand during the match, but continued the match all the same. Binder became thus the sixteenth man has to gain the " WWF Championship" at the same time as he became the second winner of the " WWE Triples Crown" (the first being Pedro Morals .

1993

Bret Hart continued to defend its title against many adversaries like Shawn Michaels and Razor Ramon , before losing it against Yokozuna at the time of WrestleMania IX after an intervention of the manager of Yokozuna, Mr. Fuji . Little time after Mr. Fuji defied Hulk Hogan for a match against Yokozuna, but this last lost its title. Thereafter, Bret Hart gained the " King off the ring" 1993 by demolishing Razor Ramon , Mr. Perfect and Bam Bam Bigelow . After its crowning with the " King off the ring" , Hart was attacked by the presenter Jerry " The King" Lawler, this one declared that he was the true King and then began a confrontation against Hart and his family. The " feud" (history in the medium of wrestling) have its culminating point at the time of the match between Lawler and Hart with the SummerSlam 1993. During this match, Bret Hart carried Sharpshooter on Lawler which had to give up leaving the victory has Hart for a time. Indeed, this last not wanting to break its catch at the request of the referee, the decision was reversed, and Lawler declared victorious by disqualification.

The rumor runs that the original intentions at the time of the " SummerSlam" was to make to a match graft the champion Hulk Hogan and Bret Hart, in the shape of the braiding of torch. However, the influence of Hogan (from its contract) on the federation, allowed to him to refuse is fought pretexting that he did not want a matche " face vs face" (nice against nice). Hogan preferred to lose its title against Yokozuna before its departure of the “WWF”, thus letting Bret Hart recover the title in another manner.

1994-1996

Bret Hart was declared Co-winner of the Royal Rumble 1994 with Lex Luger which was eliminated simultaneously. The result was that the two all-in wrestlers were entitled to a match of championship to WrestleMania X. Binder gained the title against Yokozuna at the time of this event. It was at this time that Bret Hart have a “feud” with his/her young brother Owen Hart. Opposed to the side family-friend of the WWF to the beginning of the year 1990, the competition between brothers was badly seen but the fans answered well it. This history began on the fact that Owen was jealous of its Bret. All started with the Survivor Series 1993, when the Binders (four of the Hart brothers, including Bret and Owen) one gained a match against Shawn Michaels (which replaced Jerry Lawler at the last time) and its knights. Bret and his two brothers, Bruce and Keith, one survived at the time of the match, only Owen was eliminated. It reproached Bret its elimination and in the following weeks, it also reproached him for keeping it away. Owen required a match against Bret, which Bret refused. In the continuity of this history, in agreement with his/her parents, worked during every holiday to join together the family. Returned Owen, the two brothers decided to train a team and to gain the title. The goal of Bret was to help his/her young brother to gain its first title with the WWF.

In Royal Rumble, whereas " The Brothers" Binder; took the top on " The Quebecers" to obtain the title by team, the referee stopped the match because it considered Bret too seriously wounded to continue. Owen still wanted some in Bret of not catcher with him. It was caught some with the leg wounded of Bret what continued the competition enters both. Bret was obliged to fight against Owen at the time WrestleMania X, where it vut effects of consequences of its drive on his/her young brother. Owen Hart demolished his/her brother at the time of the match of opening. Later at the time of this event, Bret was to gain the championship, which decided Owen has to fight to become champion. Owen catchait in technical matches and in one way or another preserved its competition with Bret during the 3 following years. Their most memorable confrontation take place during a match out of cage in SummerSlam 1994.

Bret Hart lost its title in Survivor Series 1994 against Bob Backlund because of an intervention of his/her Owen brother. Continuing its weak competition with Backlund, Hart took part in a " I quit" (I give up) match with Wrestlemania XI. Bret says that it is the least good of its match with WrestleMania because of its poor technicality. In 1995, it had competitions with several all-in wrestlers of less importance like Hakushi , Jean-Pierre LaFitte , Isaac Yankem and DDS . At the same time its competition with Jerry Lawler reappeared.

Finally taken again binder its world title with a victory against Diesel in Survivor Series 1995. During the match, Hart passed through the table of the Spanish commentators, it was first has to make this figure. Little time after having gained the title, it defended it against of other fighters like The British Bulldog or Goldust among others. It lost its title against Shawn Michaels in a " 60-minute Iron Man match " with WrestleMania XII. This match was not without polemic. Michaels gained in a finish with sudden death. In the majority of the companies of wrestling, if a match for the title must continue after granted time, the title should not be given concerned, and to be to preserve by the champion in title, some is the exit of the match. In this match however, the president of the WWF Gorilla Monsoon announced one period of sudden death, in which Michaels gained the title with two SuperKicks. At the end of the match, Michaels was supposed to be insulted by Hart “ get the fuck out off my boxing ring ” (which one could translate by: “leave my whore of boxing ring”), a comment that Hart thought inappropriate of this moment. Michaels forever denied or confirmed this version. It is known as that Michaels thought that Hart was bitter to be beaten and that it did not tighten the hand to him after the match as it was the tradition. Binder and Michaels were never the best friends, and the opinion of Binder on Michaels was degraded even more after this match. This marked the beginning of a seven months rupture between the federation and Bret Hart.

Binder was free and negotiated with the WWF and the WCW ( " World Championship Wrestling" ). Although the WWF wanted that Hart faces Steve Austin in Survivor Series of November, Hart seriously considered the offer of the WCW, which offered three times more to him than the WWF. It was known as that the WCW offered 9 Million dollars to him over three years, on what the WWF could not be aligned. The plan of the WWF was to make sign a 20 year old contract in Hart, comprising one period on the boxing rings and finishing by a role in slide.

Binder made volte-face against Austin in Surviror Series 1996. Austin was the new figure “heel” (although it quickly become a “face”) and the spearhead of a change for the WWF: an anti-hero loud-voiced person who drank beer after his matches, which exceeded the rules, and often made fun of Binder. He joked on his old-school attitude and his high pink. Although Hart beat Austin in Survivor Series 1996, the fans did something that the WWF did not wait: they started to be diverted Binder and to support Austin. Consequently Binder with started to say in various interviews which it had the largest respect for Steve Austin and which it appreciated much its way of catcher.

1997

The competition between Austin and Hart continued, and increased even at the time of Royal Rumbe, when Bret Hart threw Austin apart from the boxing ring. But of the last, benefitting from an error of arbitration, went up in the boxing ring and gained Rumble. Thereafter and with an aim of finishing some with this controversy, a match with four, with the last four ones taking part of Rumble was organized at the time of the statement (Pay-Per-View or the great paying shows of the federation) In Your House. The stipulation of this match was that the winner would be declared suction number one for the championship, whose Shawn Michaels had given up the belt.

Bret Hart demolished Austin, Vader and The Undertaker in this " Fatal Match" Furnace; to become, for the fourth time the champion of the WWF in February 1997. But Austin wanted to be on the reign of Bret Hart is of short duration. It cost the match of Binder against Sycho Sid the following night Raw at the time of a " Steel Match" Cage; (match out of cage). Austin helped Hart to gain this match so that their match (between Austin and Hart) with WrestleMania XIII is a match of championship. On the other hand, The Undertaker, which had a match against Sid with WrestleMania, helped Sid in vain.

In WrestleMania XIII, Binder and Austin, had their match revenge, which is regarded as one of the greatest match of WrestleMania (just like Randy Savage vs. Ricky Steamboat ]] with WrestleMania III). This match, was a " Submission Match" (match where the only condition of victory is to gain by tender), was a great brawl between two skilful fighters extrémenents techniquements. At the end, Hart carried its Sharshooter on ensanglanté Austin, which refused to give up. In fact, it never gave up, preferring to lose consciousness due to the pain and its heavy bleeding. Ken Shamrock, the special referee, was forced to give the victory to Bret Hart. After this event, Austin becomes new a " face" , while Hart became him a " heel". Binder declared that it was the match against Austin which he preferred, as it was also its last appearance at the time of Wrestlemania until 2006.

According to Austin itself, this match helped Austin to become a star of first rank and a legend. It is reported that the original plan for WrestleMania XIII was to make a return match between Hart and Michaels for the championship, in which Michaels was to give up its belt with the profit of Binder. But Shawn Michaels did not want to leave the title to Bret Hart, it thus gave up its belt on a false wound with Raw (in the famous " lost my smile" speech (the speech " I lost my sourire"), thus destroying any chance of a return match. Binder went down from the boxing ring at the time of the " hand event" (principal match) of WrestleMania to defy Michaels to come in the boxing ring, by saying to him that its wound was only pipeau. McMahon (the president of the federation) immediately rose its seat to calm Michaels.

In spite of their differences with the screen, Binder and Austin had the largest respect one for the other. An act illustrates well this respect, Austin was selected to introduce Hart with the Hall off Famed (temple of the celebrities of the WWE) in first part of WrestleMania XXII.

In the following weeks, Binder brocarda American spectators for their negative reaction towards him in the preceding weeks, whereas its popularity was always also large throughout the world. Binder joins together his/her Owen brother and his brother-in-law Davey Boy Smith to form the news " Foundation" binder; with Brian Pillman and Jim Neidhart. They trained a clan anti American, which was popular with the Canada and in Europe. Binder acquired its fifth world title with the SummerSlam 1997, after having spit on the special referee Shawn Michaels, this one revenchard, accidentally struck Undertaker with a metal chair, giving to Hart the victory.

Although it signed a 20 year old contract, Vince McMahon required of Hart to ask for to the WCW the possibility of of re-examining their original offer because the WWF had financial problems and could not honor their contract. The final combat of Bret Hart was to take place with Montreal during the Survivor Series 1997. Binder did not want to finish its career with a defeat against Shawn Michaels in its own country, he thus asked Vince if he could not lose the title the following night with Raw, or to lose it later a few weeks, which Vince granted to him. Although it is known as in Vince which it would not carry its title with the WCW, McMahon a priori and break their agreement in what was going to become the Montreal Screwjob (that one could politely translate by " the crooked blow of Montréal"), moment more discussed history of the professional fight. The plan was carried out when the referee of the match, Earl Hebner, under the orders of McMahon, sounded the bell and stopped the match whereas Michaels carried on Hart a catch of tender, the sharpshooter (the catch of completion of Bret). Although Hart did not give up, Michaels was declared victorious by tender and new Champion of the WWF, whereas Hart and the fans were outraged. The evening was finished with Bret Hart spitting with the face of McMahon, destroying the equipment of television and striking Vince with the jaw in slide.

Bret declared in a recent interview that after the incident of Montreal, Vince Russo (one of the script writers of the WWF) had invited it to say to him to try to take along Owen with him to the WCW. Bret listened to Russo and explained to him that it would try to make break its contract with Owen, and to make it come to the WCW. A few minutes later, Vince McMahon called Bret, and says to him that if it tried to make leave Owen, and that if it continued to speak in Owen about its contract, McMahon would prosecute it. Bret Hart believed that McMahon was on the telephone at the time of its conversation with Russo, although this last is denied this fact, and said that it was simply about a coincidence if McMahon had called it a few minutes later.

World Championship Wrestling (1997-2000)

1997-1998

About a month after Survivor Series, Hart joined the World Championship Wrestling, the main competitor of the WWF. Bret was implied in the combat between Sting and Hulk Hogan at the time of Starrcade 1997, intervening at the end of the match as a special referee. It attacked the referee Nick Patrick, showing it to make a too fast calculation, saying to him that it did not want any more that arrives (in reference to the " Montreal Screwjob").

During the period when Eric Bischoff was president of the federation, Bret Hart, according to the business of the " Montreal Screwjob" , was proposed as a " face" (nice). But this period was of short duration, Hart quickly became a " Heel" at the time of WCW Monday Nitro with Randy Savage and Hogan, and it joined, non-officiellement, the nWo (New World Order, gross equips all-in wrestlers " Heel"). As a member of the faction nWo, Binder catcha more as a superstar, but fought for the title WCW United States Championship which it gained with four recoveries.

1999-2000

Bret Hart remained in " the higher half of the panier" all-in wrestlers (i.e., an important fighter but not yet a superstar) until the incident which arrived at the time " WCW Monday Nitro" in March 1999, when Bret complained about what the WCW did not have of him. Binder then called the superstar Goldberg on the boxing ring, this last carried a " spear" (a style of plating to US football) on Binder, but this last carried a metal drill plate under its shirt of the Toronto Maple Leafs. It counted its characteristic fallen on the inanimate body from Goldberg. This incident obliged Hart to leave the WCW during one moment.

Whereas Bret was ready to return with the WCW, his/her brother Owen Hart died in an accident at the time of WWF Over the Edge 1999. It was expected that Bret fights against Goldberg with The Tonight Show the May 24th 1999. It was on the aircraft towards Los Angeles when his/her brother died, it learned the news by Eric Bischoff with the airport, from where it begun again immediately a plane for Calgary in order to be near its family. Its combat due thus to be cancelled at the last time. Bret Hart turned over catcher the October 4th 1999 in a match homage to Owen against Chris Benoit. This match proceeded with the " Kemper Arena" of Kansas City, where Owen died a few months before.

At the same time, the principal script writer of the WWF Vince Russo joined the WCW. Russo a storyline wrote which implied a series of match of championship discussed between Sting, Hogan and Goldberg with Halloween Havoc 1999 , for finally that the title is declared vacant. A tournament was organized during more evening " Nitro" , and the final matches took seat at the time of the statement WCW Mayhem 1999 in Canada. The evening saw the victory of Bret Hart over Chris Benoit, in order to conquer the first of its two belts of champion of the WCW.

It took part later in the reformation of the nWo with Jeff Jarrett , Scott Steiner , Kevin Nash, Scott Hall and Don and Ron Harris . At the time of Starrcade 1999 on December 19th, Hart defended its title against Goldberg. During the match, Hart was touched by a kick with the head, resulting a severe commotion. Binder declared later, that it could suffer from other commotions in the matches according to Starrcade 1999, being unaware of the gravity of its wound. At the time of these matches, Hart carried a Figure-Furnace Leglock (or taken into four) around a post of the boxing ring, which finishes by Hart knocking the head on the concrete, worsening its wounds. The whole of all its wounds obliged Hart to take its retirement of the world of professional wrestling.

Bret Hart wrote in a page of the Calgary Sun that " Goldberg tended to wound all those with which it had travaillé". In its documentary DVD, Hart considered it regrettable that somebody having good heart like Bill Goldberg, is responsible for his wound.

Bret Binder forever lost a championship weight-heavy of the WCW, but gave up each time. The second vacant title reconsidered the front of the scene in January 2000 when it has to withdraw show of the WCW Soled Out 2000 . Binder fought for its last matches where he fought for the weight-heavy championships in each federation.

In October 2000, Hart was released from its contract with the WCW due to incapacity with catcher. He announced his retirement little time afterwards.

The 17 June 2002, Bret Hart had an accident of bicycle in mountain. The Calgary Herald reports that Bret ran up against a hole, it passed over the handlebar, and ran up against the ground on the back of its cranium. He suffered then from an brain attack then of a partial paralysis, which obliged it to follow physical months of rehabilitation. Binder recovered little by little its mobility and a good health.
