Brest-native stage 29
The Brest-native Stade 29 is a club of Football French, chaired by Michel Guyot, a Brest-native contractor, and whose team first evolves/moves this season in Ligue 2 and is currently pulled by Pascal Janin.
A debate exists as for the creation date of the club. Officially, the club was born in 1950 from fusion from five local patronages (the Armorican one of Saint-Louis, Future of Saint Martin's day, the Flame of the Red Pillar, the Militia of Saint-Michel and Young people of Saint-Marc). Some consider however that during the fusion of 1950, the Brest-native Stage mainly took again the structures of the Armorican one, to which he would be thus the direct heir.

The Armorican one of Brest
The sporting section of patronage Saint Louis is born in 1903 by taking the name of the Armorican one of Brest and by adopting a currency: PEN Huel (“Head high” into Breton). Before the Great War, 500 Young people and 400 children attend the various activities of patronage: military preparation, shooting, football, athletics, male gymnastics, theater, choral society, brass band, circles of studies. The war sparse the rows of Armorican but the activities begin again quickly. In 1922, the Cozanet abbot makes build a stage in Small Paris, stage which will become the current stage Francis the Corn, whose platform always carries the currency of the club (platform PEN Huel). The stage is inaugurated on February 9th, 1923 1 at the time of a meeting between the Armorican one and the French Stade. Rows of Armorican leave, between the two wars, international the Alexis Thépot, Robert Coat, Jean Guéguen. The patronage of the Armorican argument 16es of finale of the Coupe de France in 1921 and 1927, 32es in 1923,26,28,30,31 and 35. In 1926, the Armorican one finally removes the championship of France of patronages while being essential vis-a-vis Saint-Jean-of-Luz (3-0). The guard Alex Thépot (1 selection under the colors of Armorican in 1927 vis-a-vis in England) is one of the most brilliant players of the club at this period. The rise of the Brest-native Stage
In 1950, the fusion impelled by the Balbous canon between five catholic patronages (the Armorican one of Saint-Louis, the Future of Saint Martin's day, the Flame of the Red Pillar, the Militia of Saint-Michel and the Young people of Saint-Marc) gives rise to the Brest-native Stade . Beginning again place of Armorican in first the division (what justifies that the Brest-native Stade is indeed the legitimate heir to patronage, and gives again direction with the debate on the true creation date of the club), the Stage is promoted in P.H. as of 1951, in D.H.R. (any news) in 1952 before joining the Division of Honor (1953-58). The Brest-native Stage reaches the C.F.A. in 1958 finally, benefitting from the desistance from the Acrobats from Chateaubriant. In 1963, it is the return in Division of Honor. In the following years, the Stage one by one climbs the levels of the hierarchy of French football: increase in CFA in 1966, assembled in D2 in 1970, and finally assembled in D1 in 1979, first participation in the elite of the club. This first season shows a last place, but the Stage goes up as of the following year. The club is maintained in D1 during the main part of the years 1980, except for one season in D2 into 1988/1989. The best performance of the Brest-native Stage during these years is one 8th place obtained at the conclusion of season 1986/1987.
Descent into Hell
It is with the turning of year 1986 that president Yvinec decides to change name for that of FC Brest Armorique, history to specify their geographical location well. It is also the year when the Breton ones take the route of football business by attracting stars South American, who after beginnings in brass band classify the club with a history and always unequalled 8th place. But in slides it is Santa Barbara, the rupture between the president and the Kéruzoré trainer brings the resignation of the latter, and the withdrawal of the principal sponsor. The Paul Le Guen, Vincent Guerin and others Patrick Colleter will not be enough there, the Residents of Brest go down again in D2 with their promising young generation. Irony of fate, it is against Racing that they will regain their place in elite at the end of stoppings which remain one great moment of the life of the club. They is not the every day that one faces a mythical club either…From there, one thinks that they have the means of appearing well with young talented players like Corentin Martins, David Ginola or the future world champion Stephan Guivarc' H. But a management more than disorder is sanctioned by the League of a financial retrogradation in D2 in 1991. The club of the edges of Penfeld finishes by imploser in December of this same year, by filing for bankruptcy. At the time of its last match at the Guingampais rival, the invasion of the lawn by the exceeded supporters oblige David Ginola, the idol of the housewives, to call with calm so that the match can begin again. The team sinks in the anonymity of D3, then National sinking even until in CFA…
Rebirth of the Brest-native Stage
For ten year in the championships amateurs, it will be necessary to wait until 2004 and the passage of from now on celebrates Franck Ribéry to re-examine them to drop anchor in L2 after having found their original name of Brest-native Stage.
